Sign Language

Sign language is a course that is an introduction to the basic skills in production and comprehension of American Sign Language (ASL).  It includes finger spelling and numbers.  Students will develop conversational ability, learn culturally appropriate behaviors, and be exposed to ASL grammar.  Sign language involves using your hands, body and facial expressions to communicate with those around you.   Students will have fun learning while increasing their language and fine motor skills.   Videos, songs, and handouts will be a big part of the class.
